Hello! Popping by tonight to share a card with the new Simon Says Stamp Card Kit for June - Fly Me Away! If you've seen the gorgeous Beautiful Flowers Stamp set included in the kit, you already know it is amazing! There are lots of other lovely goodies included in the kit - but I'm still a bit obsessed with this stamp set! I have some cards using the other stuff that I'll be posting in the next day or two as well. :)
This time, I made a completely one layer card - something I don't do super often, so it was pretty fun! I stamped the florals on the bottom of my cardbase created from the sheet of included 120lb Simon Says Stamp Cardstock - perfect for a one layer card with Copic coloring! I also built a sentiment from the stamp set at the top. Everything was stamped with my MISTI to ensure I got a perfect and crisp image - perfect and easy! Colored everything with Copics - playing with a technique I've been enjoying lately to make my Copics look a bit like watercolors. I basically color the image in solid but a bit messy with the lighter color of Copic, then come in and add some messy blogs of color and shading with a darker shade. Easier than you'd think - and I love the effect!
