Beautiful Day - Technique Tuesday Watercolor

Good morning! Here is the second card made from some images I recently stamped from Technique Tuesday and took along to paint while sitting in the car waiting for my daughter at drum lessons. I usually don't plan ahead enough to accomplish things like this - but was so glad I did this time! Totally fun! For this card, I used the gorgeous and intricate Beautiful Bouquet set and again colored with my Daniel Smith watercolors.

This set also comes with a coordinating die. Like the last card, I stamped it on watercolor paper, and didn't end up using the die on this card. I thought I'd mention it however, since you can save a couple dollars purchasing them as a set HERE if you are interested in them both!

To finish this card I simply matted in two colors of coordinating cardstock from one of Gina K's exclusive sets for Simon Says Stamp - both colors on this card came from Autumn Rainbow.

Watercolor Floral Trio - New Unity Stamp Company Release

Good evening! Did you see the beautiful new releases at Unity Stamp Company today? You can check out the new arrivals HERE! They are also on sale, of course!

I feel like I've rarely had time to work with the new releases lately - but this past week knowing these were coming, I was prepared and took my images with me to watercolor while I went with my daughter's to the homework youth club at our church. I told them I was bringing my own homework - I think they thought mine was more fun! Haha!

Anyway, I ended up coloring 3 of the 4 floral images in the two new stamp sets, Blossoming Beauty and Wild Florals. I came home and added a few simple additional embellishments, then finished them off into cards.

For this one, I used a white gel pen to add details to the image - such a simple thing that adds so much!

I also added a few Nuvo drops in Carnation Pink and Simply White.

And here is the second one:

For this one, I added lots of splatters, so I kind of carried that on into my details with the white gel pen - and added lots of dots this time! Kind of a fun and different effect...

For this one, I added Nuvo drops in Ruby Slipper and Simply White.

And finally - I shook up the color combo on this final one:

This one has Nuvo Drops in Copper Penny and Simply White.

For each card, I trimmed them slightly smaller than my Cream cardbases, then mounted with a layer of fun foam underneath for a bit of dimension.

This set does come with a coordinating die - since I stamped it on watercolor paper, I didn't end up using the die on this card though. I thought I'd mention it since you can save a couple dollars purchasing them as a set HERE if you are interested in them both!

Wish We Lived Closer - Simon Says Stamp May Card Kit

Good morning! Back this morning to share another card with you featuring the newly revealed Simon Says Stamp May Card Kit of the Month - Kind Heart! This is such a fabulous and fun spring kit - I love the pattern papers, the TWO stamp sets (YAY!), and the lovely embellishments!

Once again I'm using the LARGE stamp set in the kit - Everything Together - paired up with some of the lovely pattern papers and sticker embellishments - all on a cardbase made with some of the included cardstock!

I first heat embossed this huge amazing sentiment on vellum, then layered it onto a piece of pretty Pinkfresh Let Your Heart Decide pattern paper, using my sewing machine to attach the two together. I then added several of the fun Pinkfresh Let Your Heart Decide Puffy Stickers scattered around to help hold the edges in place. Finished off with some Audrey Cardstock for the cardbase!

Here is a look at the entire card kit - you can find it and all the info HERE:

Sealiously Amazing - Reverse Confetti SFYTT

Good morning! Stopping by with a card this morning for this month's Reverse Confetti SFYTT (stands for Sketch For You To Try) - I hope you'll come play along with us! This is actually the FINAL sketch - next month we will be shaking things up and trying something new! Details coming on that - so in the meantime, I hope you join this last one!

Here is a peek at this month's sketch - you can find it HERE:

I couldn't resist pulling out my Sealiously Stamps and Coordinating Dies again - can't get enough of these cuties! I layered together some pattern paper from the Cheerful and Kind 6x6 Paper pad to create a cute backdrop, then used Scalloped Squares Confetti Cuts to build a shaker element.

Added my colored seal and sentiment, a few enamel dots, and some twine to finish it off!

Here are the Reverse Confetti products I used on this card - click on the picture if you want to learn more about any of these items!

Rose Gold Butterflies - Simon Says Stamp Fluttering By Release

Good morning! Dropping by today to share another card I made using some of the newest Simon Says Stamp Fluttering By Release that just happened last week! I used some of the negative die cuts from the card I shared last week for the blog hop HERE (psst...there's still time to comment on the hop posts and enter the giveaways!)

I started looking at the negative die cut from the Flickering Butterflies that I used on my other card, and decided to trim it down and inlay some more butterflies. Can you see how this could go on for forever?!?!? However, I used a smaller scrap of the Tonic Rose Gold cardstock - so I promise this isn't the card that never ends! Haha!

Look at the lovely shine from that rose gold! Isn't it purty?!?!?

I layered on some pretty Pebbles pattern paper from a past card kit of the month, die cutting a scallop on one side using Scallop Stitches Die, and adding some messy machine stitching to connect the two. The larger panel was cut using Wonky Rectangles. Added some hand trimmed banners, a tiny paper clip, and some jute twine at the top. Sentiment is from another new release - Mom Flowers, which has wonderful sentiments in it!

Simply the Best Ever - Simon Says Stamp May Card Kit

Good morning! Back this morning to share another card with you featuring the newly revealed Simon Says Stamp May Card Kit of the Month - Kind Heart! This is such a fabulous and fun spring kit - I love the pattern papers, the TWO stamp sets (YAY!), and the lovely embellishments!

The card I'm sharing today focuses mainly on the fabulous LARGE stamp set in the kit - Everything Together - beautiful florals and the BEST sentiments in this set!

I used an assortment of soft colored Simon Says Stamp Dye Inks to stamp my background - Twirling Tutu, Sea Glass, Dusty Sage, Lemon Chiffon, and Stone. I then used my MISTI to line up and stamp the sentiment over the top.

I mounted that panel on a cream cardbase (I love using white and cream together - makes the cream look like a very soft and pale yellow!). Finished off by layering one of the Puffy Heart stickers over one of the Epoxy Heart stickers - such a fun way to combine these!

Here is a look at the entire card kit - you can find it and all the info HERE:
