Modern Shout it from the Rooftops - Simon Says Stamp

*I have a step-by-step of my coloring for this card on my Instagram Story today - I also have started doing weekly giveaways over there if you want to come check out this weeks! You can follow me on Instagram HERE!*

Hello! I'm sharing a card today using one of my favorite recently released stamp sets from Simon Says Stamp called From the Rooftops. I love the clever sentiments that go with the fun scenes! Today's card uses some gray cardstock, heat embossing, and colored pencils!

I have been drooling over the Polychromos Colored Pencils, but since I don't have them yet, I decided I should probably pull out some of the ones I actually DO have and use them! One set that hasn't seen NEARLY enough use is my Chameleon Double Ended Colored Pencils - they work so well for easy blending and were perfect for this technique!

I heat embossed in gold, then used both ends of various pencils to color in the skyline. I created a window in the same color of cardstock and placed it over the top with foam adhesive. Finished off by heat embossing my sentiments on black cardstock and attaching them in place!

Tic Tac Poo - Happy Stinkin' Birthday

Good morning! I'm back with another fun card today using an ADORABLE Technique Tuesday stamp set with a super fun Pretty Pink Posh die! For some reason when I saw this super cute stamp set, I thought how fun it would be to have a "Tic Tac Toe" board with a toilet paper and poo image! Heehee! I think it would also be fun to attache velcro to the back and turn it into a game - whatcha think? Would you play that game?

I used the adorable Tic Tac Toe Die from Pretty Pink Posh, adhered it to some Lawn Fawn Watercolor Pattern Paper, then stamped all my images from Love Stinks in the centers of each square. I then stamped them on a separate piece of white cardstock to color, then fussy cut the colored portions of the images out and paper pieced them onto the card.

I heat embossed a sentiment from the set on a little label from Little Labels Crafting Dies from Technique Tuesday, and adhered that with foam adhesive for dimension.

Finished off with a good coat of Tonic Crystal Glaze on the poo (shiny poo!) and some Crate Paper pattern paper layered underneath. I was kind of thinking this would be a fun guy card - what do you think?

Crow About It - You're the Best

Good morning! Today I'm sharing another card using some of the newest Heffy Doodle Release - oh my goodness, this release is ADORBS! This card was a fun instance where I had the PERFECT pattern paper to go with that darling image - they were made for each other, don't you think?!?!?!?

For my card I used Eggcellent News for my image, die cut it with the coordinating Eggcellent News Dies, and had fun coloring it with Copics. I stamped a sentiment from Whatcha Sayin' on a speech bubble cut with the coordinating Whatcha Sayin' Dies.

I used Clover Frames Dies to cut my center frame, cutting it once from kraft and once from white cardstock, then layering it together - popping up the white part with foam adhesive. I also layered up my pattern paper, adding a bit of white paper with a torn edge for some texture. Finally, added my little birdie and sentiment with foam adhesive as well!

Stands Out from the Crowd - Technique Tuesday Giraffe

Hello! Popping in today to share another card using a sweet stamp set by Technique Tuesday - less than a week until we get to start sharing some sneak peeks of the new release for March - and they are adorable!!!

For this card I used the super cute June the Giraffe. In true Technique Tuesday fashion, this stamp set has tons of fun and cute sentiments! And the giraffe is pretty darn cute as well!

I colored it with watercolors, added the birdie standing on the edge of the sentiment, and added some white gel pen accents on the giraffe before matting with coordinating cardstock and mounting on a white cardbase.

Awesome Spring Bunny

Good morning! Today I'm sharing a card using some fun Spring theme goodies from Lil' Inker Designs - and news on an AWESOME freebie that you can grab with qualifying purchase through the end of the month! I have actually used the freebie on my card that I'm sharing today! :)

For this card today, I started off with the adorable bunny from Rustic Spring Stamp set. I love how the coordinating Rustic Spring Dies cut out the arms as well, which make it perfect for tucking the little bouquet of flowers in its hands as well!

I colored it up with Copics, then added a frame using the Instant Camera Die and kraft paper.

Next I layered up lots of yummy pattern paper from a couple of spring Authentique paper pads. I die cut some with Silly Stitched Die set for the green panel, and created a banner by die cutting Anytime Tag Die Set 2 and trimming it in half, tucking it behind the photo frame so that it looks much longer than it actually is. I punched a couple holes through that part and tied some jute twine through them.

I added my sentiment by die cutting the Awesome Word (one of the freebies) 3 times from white cardstock and layering it up for more dimension, then adding an additional sentiment from the coordinating Hello Awesome Stamp set (the other half of the freebie).

Finished off with a white cardbase that I used Quilted Stitched Pattern Die on for a bit of texture, and some foam adhesive under the photo frame and the bunny.

This card just feels like spring to me - and I don't know about you, but I am ready for spring!

Love and Hugs Birds - Simon Says Stamp Card

Hello! Back to share another card using some fun Simon Says Stamp stamp sets that have been a bit neglected in my stash! I really enjoyed playing a bit more with the fun

As a side note: I also had tons of fun photographing this card - one of my first using some of my BRAND new Photography Boards from Photoboards! I finally decided to order some of them last week, imagine my surprise when they arrived here from the UK in less than a week! I have taken a few photos and am in LOVE with them so far! This one uses the 40cm Cement Photo Boards.

For this card, I started with a white panel cut with Stitched Rectangles Dies. I laid a die cut Stitched Window on it, then arranged and stamped 4 of the little birdies from Fingerprint Doodles in the windows, using a fun rainbow of SSS inks to stamp the fingerprints. I then die cut two more Stitched Window from black cardstock, layered them together, and added the white frame over the top. This gave such a subtle but lovely shadow effect to the window - LOVE it!

Added a sentiment underneath using Love and Friendship, then layered some Echo Park 6x6 pattern paper underneath, and mounted the front panel with foam adhesive.

Taller Than the Trees - Technique Tuesday Card

Good morning! So...you may have noticed me posting some cards in recent days using Technique Tuesday products - and there is a good reason for it! I'm happy and honored to share today that I'm joining the Technique Tuesday Design Team! Check out this fabulous line-up:

Technique Tuesday won me over with their adorable critters and super cute punny sentiments - but I also fell in love with some of the different styles of stamps and dies they offer! So...I thought I'd share a card today using some of those!

I used Taller than Trees die to cut my tree silhouette, then added a "moon" behind it using Circles Dies. I thought it was fun to reverse and use green for the background with a brighter silhouette of the trees. I also added some white stars to the sky that are part of Taller than Trees. Sentiment is from Walk in the Woods, stamped and heat embossed in white on the largest die from Hexagon Steel dies. I trimmed off the top of the the shape and attached it with foam adhesive over my scene, and added some rustic jute twine to finish off my card! Great card for a guy, or a non-girly girl don't you think?

Winnie and Walter 4th Birthday Bash Hop

Good morning! Welcome to the fun Winnie and Walter 4th Birthday Bash Celebrating Love and Friendship! There is a fabulous line-up of talent with lots of inspiration, and also some great prizes up for grabs! So make sure and hop along and visit each stop along the way! You should have arrived here from the lovely Laura Bassen - if not, feel free to head back to the Winnie and Walter Blog to start at the beginning!

I paired up one of the lovely new floral stamp sets from the latest release, with the new Catherine Pooler Inks that are now being carried in the Winnie and Walter Store! They are so fun and amazing - definitely in love with them! I used them here both for stamping the florals, and for the ink smooshing for my watercolor background:

I started off by stamping the florals from In Bloom: Ashlee's Rosie Posies with Lydia Evans using Tiara, Orange Twist, and Rockin' Red. The leaves used a combination of Lime Rickey and Grass Skirt. I die cut them all out with the Coordinating Dies. I used Fiesta Blue to do some ink smooshing on watercolor paper to form my background, then used Press and Seal to arrange the florals to where I was happy, pick them up and turn over to apply adhesive, then to press into place.

I matted that panel with Simon Says Stamp Orange Peel cardstock, and mounted on a cardbase made with Green Apple cardstock. I stamped my "beautiful" sentiment in black on white cardstock and die cut out, then die cut the same shape twice more from black cardstock,t hen layered them together. This makes it a bit more dimensional, and makes the underneath pop a bit more! I also heat embossed a bit of an additional sentiment from the set on black cardstock, and attached those with foam adhesive.

GIVEAWAY info: Since this is a 4th birthday celebration, there are FOUR gift certificates valued at $40 each up for grabs to be chosen from comments left along the hop. Comments can be left through the end of the month (February 28, 2018 by 11:59 PM CST) and will be announced on the Winnie and Walter Blog after that. Make sure and leave a comment before you leave, then head over to your next stop, Cheiron Brandon!

Thank You Florals - Reverse Confetti SFYTT

Good morning! Stopping by with a card this morning for this month's Reverse Confetti SFYTT (stands for Sketch For You To Try) - I hope you'll come play along with us!

Here is a peek at this month's sketch - you can find it HERE:

I decided to do some very soft and simple no-line Copic coloring on my card today. Definitely new territory for me, but these were nice and simple and fun - and I LOVE the finished effect!

I used some of the florals from Banner in Bloom, die cut with the coordinating Banner in Bloom Confetti Cuts. I stamped them in Stone Dye ink, then colored with a single color of Copic - except the gray for which I used two and blended. I used Navy Dye ink to stamp the sentiment. I layered those together with foam adhesive for lots of texture with some scallop circles cut from Circles N Scallops. Finished off with some pattern paper from Every Little Bit 6x6 paper pad, and some Nuvo Drops!

Here are the Reverse Confetti products I used on this card - click on the picture if you want to learn more about any of these items!
