Happy Camper

Good morning! A few weeks ago Unity Stamp Company released this darling image as one of the Stamp of the Week images. I never got it colored up, but had it sitting on my desk to color well past the week that it released. I had some time one afternoon, so I colored it up (seriously, who wouldn't want to go camping in a camper that cute?!?!?) - and managed to even get it on a finished card! This stamp is available individually, or if you are a member (or decide to sign up!) you can get it for a fabulously discounted price!

I colored it with Copic markers and added some white gel pen accents. A simple mat of deep gray, then attached it to a panel of white that I used a Lil' Inker die on, then mounted the entire thing on a cardbase that perfectly coordinated with the green Copics I used - LOVE when that works!

All Things New

Good morning! Playing with a bit of my Reverse Confetti last night - and thinking of spring coming every so slowly this year. While I can't make it come any quicker outside - I sure can make it happen on a card! Where I live, tulips are a huge deal. The annual Tulip Festival brings in tons of tourist activity (sometimes to the dismay of the locals who have to traverse the roads still!) - but there is something breathtaking about going to see the fields of color. And something about some of the first glorious flowers of spring just fit this sentiment from Easter Blessings perfectly!

I layered my inks a little creatively for this card. I wanted to have a slightly softer feel to the colors than the original inks. So, using Blooms 'N Buds and my MISTI for perfect alignment, I stamped the stem first in Lime Green Ink, then stamped over the top with white pigment ink. I did the same thing for the flower, using Rose Ink. Once I layered on the white pigment ink, I came back with the Rose Ink and stamped the details in on the flower. This is a great way to stretch your inks!

The front frame panel was die cut using Striped Frame Cover Panel and Lime Green Cardstock. I added some Sparkling Clear Confetti from Pretty Pink Posh and tied some jute twine around it to finish the card off.

Unity Owl Sentiment Kit

Good morning! I never got these posted last month when this sentiment kit - Owl I Do Say - from Unity Stamp Company came out - but definitely had to share them! They were a great way to play with my new Daniel Smith watercolors I had just picked up, and also a great way to use up some of my scrap strips of pattern paper!

I pretty much stamped them out several times on watercolor paper, and just spent a relaxing evening coloring them all in. Some I did in expected color combos - and some I just had fun with. Pretty much playing around! Then, I found pattern papers that coordinated with my finished birds, paired them up with sentiments, and turned them into cards! Here is a look at each of the finished cards:
