Sending Smiles - SSS One of a Kind Release Hop and GIVEAWAY

Good morning! I'm delighted today to be part of the Day 2 blog hop celebrating the BRAND NEW Simon Says Stamp One of a Kind Release! Tons of inspiration with the new release, and a giveaway at every stop as well!

First off, I used the darling new Dancing Fruits Stamp Set and added SMILING FACES to them!

I stamped the apple from the set four times on watercolor paper, then watercolored it in with various distress inks. I also added some splatters with some of the spare ink, then added the smiling faces from a past SSS Card Kit - Coffee and Tea - and added a perfect sentiment from Handlettered Thanks from a previous release. I die cut the panel with Wonky Rectangles, matted with a bit of black cardstock, then mounted on a kraft cardbase.

I also thought I'd share one of the cards I made with the Punder the Sea Watercolor Paintables by Suzy Plantamura - I did this one while watching a movie last night!

I used my Daniel Smith watercolors to paint it in, then once it dried added some accents with a white gel pen - and the finishing touch, some Nuvo Crystal Drops as "bubbles" from the turtle and fishies!

GIVEAWAY INFO: Simon Says Stamp is giving away a prize worth $25 at every stop along the hop - so make sure and leave some love as you hop along for a chance to win! Winners will be announced next week on the Simon Says Stamp Blog.

Partial Image Focal Point

Good morning! Dropping by with a card and Quick Tip video this morning using a brand new Phyllis Harris Release from Unity Stamp Company called Faith Looks Up!

I thought it would be fun, instead of using the entire image, to just create a focal point with part of it. Here is a peek at what I did:

I love how simple it is and all that lovely white space as well!

Day and Night Woodland Cards on PPP Blog

Good morning! I have this cute day and night card set posted over on the Pretty Pink Posh blog today - head HERE for details!

Thanks for dropping by! Have a wonderful day!

Wiggly Eye Birds!

Good morning! Today I'm sharing a couple more cards using the beautiful pre-printed Watercolor Paintables by Suzy Plantamura from the Cherished release from Simon Says Stamp - I got home from the dentist yesterday with my mouth completely numb (my appointment was at 9 am and the numbness didn't go away until 6 pm...so let's just say it was a long day!). I sat down with my girls to watch a movie, and pulled a couple of these to just slowly color to help keep my mind off of my numb mouth...and being hungry and not able to chew anything! Haha!

It was nice to have no rush on my time and just color these in nice and slowly, layering on color.

Once they dried - just for fun - I added a wiggly eye to each of the birds! I used a smaller one for the first card, and a larger one for this next one, trying to slightly match them to the size of the printed eye on each of them.

I trimmed down the sides just slightly, then mounted them on a white card base. So easy it almost feels like cheating!
